Winch-outs and difficult recoveries

Not every damaged vehicle can be driven onto a bed. We handle cars against barriers, off the shoulder, in medians, up on curbs and sidewalks, stuck in mud or snow, and vehicles with collapsed suspension or locked wheels. Dollies, skates and wheel nets let us move a car that will not roll.

Insurance claims with Allstate, GEICO, Travelers and Progressive

We work directly with all four carriers. Give dispatch your carrier and claim number and we send the invoice plus full documentation to the adjuster — in most covered collision tows you pay nothing on scene. If no claim is open yet, we provide a paid, itemized receipt carriers accept for reimbursement. When the other driver was at fault, the cost is normally recovered from their liability coverage using our documentation packet.

What to do before we arrive

If it is safe, move out of live traffic, turn on your hazards, call 911 for any injury, exchange information and photograph the other vehicle and plate. Who pays for towing after an accident?

Most collision coverage from Allstate, GEICO, Travelers and Progressive covers the tow after a covered accident, and many drivers also carry roadside or towing and labor coverage. If the other driver was at fault, their liability coverage usually pays.

Do you bill my insurance company directly?

In most collision cases, yes. With your carrier and claim number we invoice the insurer directly and include scene photos and tow documentation.

Can I choose my own body shop?

Yes. Insurers have preferred networks, but in New York the choice of repair shop is yours. Tell dispatch the destination and we deliver there.

What if my car will not roll or steer?

That is normal after a collision. We bring dollies, skates and winch capacity so a car with locked wheels, collapsed suspension or a seized drivetrain can still be recovered without further damage.

How quickly can you reach an accident scene?

Average response is about 30 minutes: roughly 15 to 25 minutes in Brooklyn, 25 to 40 in Manhattan and 30 to 45 on Staten Island.
