How a damage-free entry works

We wedge the top of the door frame just enough to slip a coated long-reach tool inside, then trip the lock or the interior handle. No slim-jims down the door cavity, where modern side-airbag wiring and window regulators live. If the fob battery died, the doors may still open with the hidden mechanical key inside the fob and the keyhole under the driver's-door handle cap — worth trying before you call. If the fob is locked inside, we open the door normally; the car will then start because the fob is in range. What we do not do is cut or program new keys — that is a locksmith or dealer job, and we will tell you straight away if that is what you actually need.

Trunk-only and broken-key situations

Keys locked in the trunk with no interior release, a key snapped off in the lock, or an ignition that will not turn are locksmith work rather than lockout work. In those cases the practical fix is often a tow to your dealer or an auto locksmith, and we can do that on the same visit instead of leaving you to arrange a second truck.

Our tools are coated and used at the door frame rather than inside the door cavity, so paint, seals, glass, and airbag wiring stay intact. On the rare vehicle we judge too risky to open, we say so and recommend an auto locksmith instead.

What do I need to show you before you unlock it?

Photo ID plus registration, an insurance card, or a photo of either on your phone. The name has to connect you to the vehicle. Without that, we cannot open the car.

How fast can you get to me?
